Zeroes No Longer!

That's right, Your Team Sucks is no longer a zero in the win bracket. With some great defensive strategy and a little bit of offense, we picked off Number 1 Spot 5-4 leaving them the sole team with a zero in the win column.

We got off to a late start since Your Team Sucks had to few women and Number 1 Spot had too few men, we had worked out a truce only to find out that we had no refs. The refs eventually arrived and so did the other players for both sides so we got going.

With the new upgraded Jell-o shot incentive program in place (Jell-o beans on First and Jell-o Cubes on Third/Home) Your Team Sucks lit up the phantom scoreboard first methodically chipping away to move into a 2-0 lead.

Number 1 Spot was able to tie it up very quickly, but then our defense started clicking. We actually made a defensive game plan for this game and it seemed to work out well. So well that on three occasions we had two teammates catching the ball in unison! We're talking red rubber ball sandwich! Damn tasty!!!

With a couple big kicks from each side the score bumped up to 5-4 in Your Team Sucks' favor. The last inning was a make or break for both teams and the stakes were high. Who was going to get their first win?

Your team sucks started it off and was unable to put any insurance runs on the board so it came down to defense.

With the pressure on in the botom of the fifth, Your Team Sucks didn't crack. The team did allow one double, but they held on to get three outs and their first victory of the season!

Watch out, a win streak may be starting!

Play Kickball!

This week, the Big-E award goes to no one. There was one dropped ball in the beginning of the game but it was more tham made up for by a couple red rubber ball sandwiches. The KY Slick move of the game goes to Mike Belsky Number 1 Spot's pictcher was throwning heat, but he still booted Your Team Sucks' first ever homerun! Watch - him - round - all - of - the - bases!

Way to go team!

The afterparty was good like usual and Your Team Sucks did dominate some more Flip Cup. Team darkside working together is almost unstoppable. In one other amazing battle two Darkside teammates faced off to see who was the Sith Lord of Flip cup. Nick Beattie was victorious and faces a challenge next week by a member of the Lake Minnetonka Purifiers. Can it be any more Epic (yet cliche!) than this? Dark vs. Light, Black vs. White. It's ON this week!

Stats:
Wins: ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Losses: We Lost?
Jell-o Beans and cubes consumed: 291
Flip Cup games dominated: 51

We're counting on you guys to come cheer us on this week at 6:30 as the two undefeated teams meet! Given that our undefeated status is pretty much just luck, we need all the help we can get. And we'll bring Jello shots, too!
