The Streak Continues!

Your Team Sucks won again! We knocked off Uncle Rico's Raiders 5-4 in a come back win! Unfortunately this one's controversial.

The game started a little late because of the close battle between the Godless Whores and Sexy Ball Kickers but once we got our refs, the stupidity began.

Unfortunately, only three out of the seven girls on the Your Team Sucks squad made it to the game so we had to discuss this with the other team. Originally, Uncle Rico's Raiders said it was no big deal, we'd play and it would count. They did make the stipulation that one guy had to wear lipstick (Mike Belsky volunteered) but changed their minds after a couple minutes. Katie, their acting captain (Who also proposed the lipstick thing) agreed while the Ref (Sayeed (sp?)) was standing there that the game would count even though we had three girls. We offered to get a fourth to play, but they said it was fine. Five minutes later they were claiming we lost by forfeit. So which is it URR? Lying poor sports or a good clean game?

Once the game got going it started slowly, but turned out to be a very good game! Your Team Sucks started out well, getting several on base and sending one home, but that one was called back because the kicker was not in the box.

The Raiders put the first official run on the board with a solo homer. Two innings later they scored a few more on a couple well placed kicks. Overall though Your Team Sucks played some good bend but don't break defense letting URR fill the bases several times, but not letting them get much in the way of runs.

YTS managed to battle back though and got one run on the board with a flurry of bunts and short kicks. I dropped ball by the Raiders gave enough time for that one run to come in.

The real excitement came in the fifth inning. Your Team Sucks had all but given up after they racked up two fly-outs in a row and being down by three runs, but then out of nowhere came a flurry of offense! Jell-o bean after Jell-o bean got eaten on first base when a few well placed kicks dropped in on URR. Three runs made it in to tie up the game and we had a man on third. Could YTS take the lead? You better believe it! A good kick right to the left field gap brought Tim scootin' home for a 5-4 lead!! A pop fly would end the top of inning and some great defense would end the game and give Your Team Sucks their second victory!

The Big-E of the game is going out three times this week. One is for URR for going back on their word to make it a real game, the second goes to the four girls on our team who didn't show up and the last goes back to the man who started it, SEPPIE! Way to miss that line drive brotha!

The KY Slick Move award goes to Mike Belsky again for that diving slide into home. Yes, it got called back, but damn it was a nice slide!

Post game started just as slow, with people choosing to eat instead of drink. Most of the Godless Whores were too good to show up. Props to Dan and Devora who did though. Most of the Sexy ball kickers left early as well. Without their fearless leader Amy, Uncle Rico's Raiders seemed afraid to have some fun.

Your Team Sucks could not let this be however and decided we needed to have some fun. With the KY Slick Move of the post-game Nick B ran over to Lund's and bought some cup and the Flip-Cup began!! At first it was only Your Team Sucks flippin' it up, but eventually we got some Purifiers and Raiders in the game.

then came the Epic Battle! Black Vs. White. After much trash talk the one on one challenge between Nick B and LMP-Member, as he shall now be called, was on. In a two out of three match, the first round screamed by. Somehow Nick focused the power of the dark side and flipped all four cups on the first try. The second round turned the tables and LMP-Member bobbled on the first cup and almost gave up, but battled back to take the win. After a breather, the truly epic final battle was on. Head to head, four cups ready, all the glory on the line. In a finish of four cups to three, the dark side proved too strong and Nick B was crowned the Flip-Cup Challenege Champion!!
